A Connected Global Population
The 50x15 Foundation is a collaborative ecosystem of public and private entities organized to enable affordable Internet access and computing capability to 50 percent of the world’s population by 2015. 50x15 has already launched more than 30 learning labs in a dozen countries around the world.
50x15 creates the means and opportunity for communities in high-growth markets to participate in and benefit from the “life services” accessible by the Internet and computing capabilities: access to healthcare information, financial services, job hunting, education, and global communication and commerce.
50x15 partners comprise a collaborative ecosystem of public and private, local and global entities dedicated to accelerating digital inclusion around the world through affordable and sustainable Internet access and computing capability projects. Partners focus on providing integral areas of development for affordability and sustainability: power, connectivity, devices, financing, content, expertise and structure design.
